Survey of Salmonellosis Epidemic, Microbiologic in Chun Nam Province During 1971, 1~7

Abstract
|
|
|
This report attempts to survey the salmonellosis epidemic.
Microbiologic from patients which was send to Chun Nam Hygiene Laboratory, Gwang Ju Christian Hospital, and Chosun Medical School´s Hospital Laboratory occurred with many groups of salmonella in Chunnam province from Jan., to July in 1971. The results are as follows.
1) When at comes to age of patients, 11-15 years old are a lot more of then in no connection with sex the educated to the degree of elementary school are the highest rate as the 65 percentage.
2) The most main clinical system is high fever, headache, and diarrhea, the more times passed by differed from beginning, the more it´s system is mild.
3) Salmonellosis patients contaminated by food are 38.6 percentage and by public water 52. 5 percentages, and by meeting dinner tended to group salmonellosis. Occurrence are 22. 2 percentage.
4) Patients who received treatment often passed 6-10 days from occurrence of disease are the highest rates and who received treatment often passed 10 days are 10 percentage and who received treatment of oneself at their home are 33.3 percentage.
5) Patients who received vaccination from all of patients are such low rates as 15 percentage.
6) Biological characters of the isolated strains showed no particular. difference in various groups, totally their one strain were isolated and sallmonella group is 30 strains, E group is 1 strain.
